The Virginia Supreme Court’s Office of Dispute Resolution reports that parties generally leave their court-referred mediation with a sense of fairness and satisfaction from these mediation services.
But some areas in Virginia are in short supply of mediators able to meet the demand for mediation. Thus, there is room and reason for growth; in fact, addressing this issue is part of the broader access to justice issue.
