Purpose and Eligibility:

The purpose of the Corporate Counsel Section is to further the objectives of The Virginia Bar Association and to bring together inside counsel and other VBA members with a special interest in issues of corporate governance.

VBA members in good standing are eligible for membership in the Section.

VBA members shall be admitted to the Section after completion of the membership application and payment of the Section dues.

Continental breakfast, lunch and refreshment breaks will be included in the registration fee. Expected CLE credits are 6.5 hours (2 hours ethics). Deborah Platt Majoras, chair of the Federal Trade Commission, will be our keynote speaker. Program topics will include antitrust and private equity. Thomas E. Spahn of McGuireWoods LLP, chair of the VBA Commission on Professionalism, will present “Ethics for In-House Counsel.” Watch for more details via email, postal mail and online.
