Our sections and committees have lined up a wide variety of CLE panels you won't want to miss at this year's 126th Summer Meeting. This statewide event will take place July 21-24, 2016, at The Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Va. Please join the fun.
The preliminary brochure, mailed this spring to VBA members, contains a full list of CLE programs and all the related events and activities of the Summer Meeting. View it online. Attendees can choose from among 15 MCLE presentations to enhance their practices, and get set for two timely general session programs. While the maximum MCLE Credits a registrant can receive is 7.5 or 8, attendees to the July meeting will have a choice of 23 MCLE Credits worth of programming, 3.5 of them Ethics.
Be sure to plan your time around two important general session programs coordinated by the Committee on Issues of National & State Importance. The first is Friday from 2-3:30 p.m.: "Preventing Gun Violence and Suicide, Preserving the Right of Self-Defense: The Search for Common Ground." It carries MCLE credit. The second is Saturday from 10:40 a.m. to 12:10 p.m.: "The End of Greatness? The Future of the American Presidency." The Saturday session, which carries no MCLE credit, is sponsored by McCandlish & Lillard.

We're Going Green
This year, the VBA will provide all written materials for MCLE programming online only! That's right, no more heavy packets of paper to lug around the conference center. Bring your laptop or e-device, sign on to the conference center Wi-Fi and access your materials from our website. Prefer hard copies? Be sure to print at home or work before arriving at the Homestead. All registrants are being notified of the link to access MCLE written materials.
