You may be thinking: “This is not The Virginia Bar Association website I’ve been visiting for four years.”
You’re right. It’s not. We have moved over to a different host company. With a bundle more bells and whistles to help members interact and get involved.
We just moved in June 30. We’re pretty sure our movers placed all the furniture where we want it, but we haven’t yet hung all the artwork, gotten unpacked and settled in. That’s where we hope you’ll help. Make our home a place you and your colleagues want to keep returning to. Give us your feedback. Consider it your housewarming gift.
Member FAQs are available.
Explore on your own. If you want a quick overview, here are the major enhancements:
Enjoy a better experience visiting our new site on mobile phones and tablet devices.
The tabs at the top of the page say it all. The VBA caters to Lawyers, serves the Public, provides Advocacy and relies on Members. That’s what we’re About.
Gone are the pictures of an empty General Assembly chamber, handsome models, and courthouse architecture. In their place is the official VBA logo in a cleaner design that quickly lets you get to the information you seek. Anywhere in the site if you want to go Home, click on the VBA logo.
Latest News, Calendar features
Better design and hover-over details provide at-a-glance knowledge. The time you give to the VBA can be spent more efficiently.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Content rewritten with SEO in mind should attract more visitors when Internet searches return VBA.org as a top result.
Social media integration
At bottom right of the Home page, find the latest posts to the VBA Twitter feed, @VABarAssn. Just above that is a picture from a VBA event that links with The Virginia Bar Association Facebook page. You can increase viewership by using the Share button at the bottom of every page.
A big part of family is sharing. We're happy to share our new website with the VBA family and hope you'll stop back often. Welcome home.
