Debate coverage begins at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20
The Virginia Bar Association/PBS Newshour live stream will go on the air this Saturday morning. The 90-minute event will take place at The Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Virginia, the site of the organization's 123rd Summer Meeting.
This is the first face-to-face debate between Ken Cuccinelli and Terry McAuliffe, who hope to be Virginia's next governor. McAuliffe, the Democrats' nominee, served as chairman of the Democratic National Committee. Cuccinelli, the Republican nominee, is Virginia's attorney general.
Judy Woodruff, senior correspondent and co-anchor of "PBS NewsHour," will moderate.

The VBA is a nonpartisan group. It is the largest voluntary organization of lawyers and judges in Virginia. For 125 years, the group and its members have dedicated themselves to serving the public and the legal profession.
Debates involving candidates for statewide office have been a feature of the VBA Summer Meeting since 1985. By sponsoring debates, the VBA seeks to educate the public about candidate views and to stimulate voter interest and participation in the elections process.
