The VBA Foundation supports charitable and educational pursuits of The Virginia Bar Association.

Recent donations to the nonprofit, tax-exempt VBA Foundation benefited these programs:

  • Law School Councils (advancement of education)
  • Legal Food Frenzy Project
  • LPMD Education Programs
  • Pro Bono Programs
  • Town Hall Meetings
  • Young Lawyer Programs

Hundreds of VBA members expand the reach of VBA programs by becoming annual patrons of The VBA Foundation. They are recognized throughout the year for their crucial support.

Gifts in memory or in honor of colleagues, friends or family members provide a living, continuing tribute, and are welcomed by The VBA Foundation.

The VBA Foundation is registered as a charitable agency with the Virginia Department of Consumer Affairs.

Donors may deduct contributions to the foundation as provided in § 170 Internal Revenue Code.

Donors receive:

  • a patron ribbon at the Annual and Summer meetings,
  • a lapel pin (optional),
  • a special letter of thanks from the VBA president,
  • recognition on the VBA website, and
  • special recognition in VBA publications.
