Meeting Highlights

"Professionalism: How Can Lawyers, Judges and the Organized Bar Restore Our Values?" is the title of a Friday general session which will feature ABA President Robert Grey moderating a panel of leaders of the legal community, including Hon. Thomas Zlaket, former chief justice of the Arizona Supreme Court, and University of Illinois Law Dean Heidi Hurd.

Continuing a decades-long tradition, the VBA will host the opening debate of Virginia's Democratic and Republican gubernatorial candidates on Saturday morning.

• Bestselling author and playwright Adriana Trigiani will stop at The Greenbrier to be with us during her nationwide promotional tour for her newest release, Rococo. Adriana will read from and discuss her work on Friday afternoon in our Books and Authors Program. On Saturday afternoon, she'll join her four sisters (including VBA member Pia), mother, and several Greenbrier chefs for a culinary demonstration featuring treasured Trigiani family recipes from Cooking with My Sisters.

• Our black-tie banquet will feature live entertainment by renowned Virginia musicians Steve Bassett and Robbin Thompson.
