C-SPAN, which has twice broadcast the 2018 U.S. senatorial candidates debate the VBA presented last Saturday, will air it again at 8 tonight, July 26.

Previous broadcasts on the cable television channel occurred Monday evening, July 23, and Tuesday morning, July 24.

C-SPAN is showing a recording of the debate produced by "PBS NewsHour," which presented live, online versions of the 90-minute debate on its YouTube channel, on Facebook Live and Twitter. VBA sponsors helped made the debate and the live streams possible, in the VBA's effort to help inform the electorate.

The live audience at The Omni Homestead Resort on July 21 exceeded 550. "PBS NewsHour" channels reached more than 80,000 viewers, according to preliminary figures. The reach of the VBA debate has swelled additionally to include the thousands of WCVE listeners in Central Virginia and elsewhere who tuned in to the radio station or its feed online for an audio presentation this past Monday evening, and now three C-SPAN airings so far.

The debate featured two men seeking election to represent Virginia in the U.S. Senate: the incumbent, Tim Kaine, and a challenger. Corey Stewart. The debate was moderated by Judy Woodruff, anchor and managing editor of "PBS NewsHour."
