Court's April Session Oral Arguments Will Be By Phone

The Supreme Court of Virginia on April 3 announced that all oral arguments scheduled for the April 14-17, 2020, session of court will be handled by telephone. 

These oral arguments are open to the public. Links to the audio of the proceedings will become live each morning at 9 a.m.

Please continue to check this document on Virginia's Legal System website for links to the audio and to the dockets as they become available.

Parties scheduled to appear for oral argument during the court’s April 2020 session must select one of the following options:

  1. Present oral argument by telephone conference call on the date indicated in the court’s April 2020 session schedule; or
  2. Waive oral argument.

On or before April 9, 2020, at noon, each party must notify the court of that party’s selection by emailing the Office of the Clerk at and simultaneously copying opposing counsel on said email.

Arguments will start at 9 a.m. each day and will continue until the last argument is concluded.
