The Taxation Section sponsors the Virginia Tax Practitioners' Roundtable, focusing on discussion of developments in tax law each year. Check the VBA Calendar for conference details. The section also works with state and federal agencies in various capacities on tax law matters.

With the support of Crowgey & Associates, McGuireWoods LLP and Williams Mullen, the Taxation Section of The Virginia Bar Association recognizes Owen Giordano of the University of Richmond School of Law as the winner of the 2022 Student Writing Competition. His submission was entitled "Buying with Bitcoins: Sales Tax on Retail Transactions Involving Cryptocurrency in Virginia." Congratulations, Owen!
