Virginia Lawyers Weekly recently featured the "Mom, Esquire" series of the VBA Young Lawyers Division. Creator Kristen Jurjevich and serial panelist Jennifer Ligon - both of whom are lawyer moms - were interviewed for the article.

The first panel discussion was in 2022, the year Jurjevich was chair of the Young Lawyers Division. A networking event followed.

At the VBA Annual Meeting in January, a "Mom, Esquire" plenary presentation encouraged not only lawyer parents to attend but also colleagues and firm managers because the roles of lawyers with children affect an entire firm.

As Jurjevich told VLW, “During the panel there was an opportunity for those in attendance to ask questions, and the questions raised indicated that this is a topic that is ripe for discussion.”
