Q: What is the difference between Annual Meeting and Summer Meeting?
A: The Annual Meeting (Jan.) and Summer Meeting (July) bring members from across Virginia together. Both include CLEs, networking and VBA business, but each has its own character. The Annual Meeting is traditionally more formal and business-focused, while the Summer Meeting has a relaxed, family-friendly vibe.
Registration & Pricing
Q: How do I register for an event?
A: Registration is available online via each event page. Be sure to register early to take advantage of any early bird rates.
Q: Do VBA members receive discounts on events?
A: Absolutely. VBA members enjoy reduced rates for most programs, including CLEs, section conferences and our flagship statewide meetings.
Q: Are event fees refundable?

Q: Are VBA events open to non-members?
A: Many VBA events are open to nonmembers, including attorneys, judges, law students and other legal professionals. Some exclusive events are limited to members or invitation only, but all are welcome to explore our offerings.

CLE and Speaking Opportunities
Q: Can I earn CLE credit at VBA events?
A: Yes. Most programs are approved for Virginia MCLE credit. CLE details and certificates are provided after the event.
Q: Where do I find written materials and other CLE information?
A: CLE materials are typically emailed to registrants before the event or posted on the event platform. Contact us at register@vba.org if you need help locating anything.
Q: How do I get involved as a speaker or presenter?
A: Interested in speaking? We’d love to hear from you! Most CLE presentations are organized by our sections or committees. Contact the appropriate section or reach out to VBA staff with your topic and experience.
