Statement from Victor O. Cardwell, president of The Virginia Bar Association:
The role of female leaders at The Virginia Bar Association is part of our storied history right up to today, International Women’s Day, when we pause to recognize the VBA’s many female leaders – past presidents, and section, committee and division leaders.
International Women's Day is a day to celebrate and honor the importance women have had at the VBA in the past and in the present. It is also a look forward to the many roles and anticipated growth of female leaders in the future. Please take the time to look up and learn more about International Women’s Day. There is a link at the end of this statement.
We share this year’s International Women's Day theme with you because these principles are important in our world overall and must be part of our intentional efforts every day at the VBA!
IWD 2022 campaign theme: #BreakTheBias
Imagine a gender equal world.
A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination.
A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.
A world where difference is valued and celebrated.
Together we can forge women's equality.
Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias.
