Fourteen members of The Virginia Bar Association have been chosen for the Class of 2025 of the Virginia Lawyers Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame, started by Virginia Lawyers Weekly in 2018, honors Virginia attorneys who have been practicing for 30 years or more and who have made lasting marks on the legal field across the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Criteria for selection include career accomplishments, contributions to the profession, contributions to the development of the law, contributions to the bar and the commonwealth and efforts to increase access to justice.

Among the 31 honorees this year are 14 VBA members:

  • Kristina Keech Spitler, Vanderpool, Frostick & Nishanian

  • Stephen E. Noona, Kaufman & Canoles
  • W. David Paxton, Gentry Locke Attorneys
  • Lewis F. Powell III, Hunton Andrews Kurth
  • Michael W. Smith, Christian & Barton

  • Stanley P. Wellman, Harman Claytor Corrigan & Wellman

The Class of 2025 will be celebrated at a luncheon ceremony at the John Marshall in downtown Richmond next Friday, May 16.
