In 2016, Mr. Crigler (left) was introduced by Seth Ragosta before presenting a CLE on mediation to VBA young lawyers at the fall meeting.Longtime active VBA member B. Waugh Crigler of Charlottesville died April 26. He was 74.

The retired U.S. magistrate judge in the Western Division of Virginia had served on the VBA Commission on Professionalism, which endorsed the Principles of Professionalism for Virginia Lawyers in 2008. As a young lawyer, he took leadership roles as a regional director of the VBA's Young Lawyers Division and chaired the Young Lawyers Criminal Law Committee.

Mr. Crigler was a magistrate judge for 32 years, from 1981 until his retirement in 2013. He then joined The McCammon Group as a certified mediator.
