A total of 146 aspiring lawyers passed the February 2023 Virginia bar examination. Of them, 79 completed all admission requirements and have been licensed to practice law, according to the Virginia Board of Bar Examiners.
The Virginia Bar Association encourages new licensees to take advantage of a limited-time free professional membership with the largest statewide voluntary bar group in Virginia, the VBA.
New licensees joining receive all the benefits of membership for the rest of 2023. To sign up, go to the New Lawyers page or the Join page (select Spring New Admittee membership) and create your profile. The Virginia Board of Bar Examiners announced that overall, 63.27% of exam takers passed. Among first-time takers, 74.6% passed.
