New VBA officers and Board of Governors leaders will be elected and installed at the Annual Meeting this month in Williamsburg.

The slate of 2025 officers and their proposed or appointed roles consists of:

• Kimberlee Harris Ramsey, president
• Lonnie D. "Chip" Nunley III, president-elect
• Nupur S. Bal, chair
• W. Ryan Snow, immediate past president

Division leaders

The officers above and the Young Lawyers Division chair and chair-elect make up the VBA Executive Committee, which conducts association business between the board's quarterly meetings. The presumptive YLD leaders for 2025, to be elected by YLD members at the meeting, are:

• Alexander Boyd, YLD chair
• Alicha Grubb, YLD chair-elect

Jack Robb will become chair of the Law Practice Management Division. He also will join the board.

Board members

Each year, two at-large members and two members from specific regions of Virginia are nominated to the board for three-year terms. They are:

• Erin B. Ashwell, at-large
• Matthew E. Cheek, Capitol
• S. Henry "Hank" Creasy IV, Southside
• John M. Scheib, at-large

Board representatives

Additionally, the Board of Governors consists of several representatives from various segments of the legal community. The following lawyers will be installed at the Annual Meeting and serve one-year renewable terms:

• Ryan G. Ferguson, government representative
• Iria Giuffrida, law school representative

VBA general counsel

Steven D. Brown will assume the volunteer role of VBA general counsel upon completion of his full term as the Capitol Division board member.
