Daniel L. Gray, a founding partner with Cooper Ginsberg Gray, PLLC, in Fairfax, was elected to the VBA Board of Governors at its spring meeting. He is the Potomac District representative on the 22-member board, and fills a seat left vacant. The governance committee unanimously recommended his approval.
Gray has practiced family law exclusively since 1997.
A member of the Domestic Relations Section, he joined the VBA in 2009 and is the chair of the VBA Committee on Nominations to Virginia Commissions and Appellate Courts. He also serves as chair of the VBA-affiliated group Virginia Family Law Coalition. He is immediate past president of the Virginia chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and earlier chaired the Virginia State Bar Family Law Section.
Gray earned a law degree from George Mason University and a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia.
