The 19th Annual Legal Food Frenzy contributed greatly to a more food-secure Virginia by raising $358,273 and collecting 9,049 pounds of food.

The two-week event in April involving law firms, law schools and public sector offices across the commonwealth was coordinated by the VBA Young Lawyers Division in partnership with the Attorney General’s Office and the Federation of Virginia Food Banks. Donations stay local and benefit Virginia’s seven food banks and the organizations they support.

The Legal Food Frenzy is also a friendly competition for lawyers, with the top prize being the Attorney General’s Cup for the legal office with the largest donation and the Law School Cup for student, faculty and staff participation.

The Attorney General's Cup this year goes to the Law Office of James Steele, PLLC, with 73,442 total points and a per capita donation of 5,649.38. Donations benefit Feeding Southwest Virginia.

Appalachian School of Law takes the Law School Cup for its contributions also to Feeding Southwest Virginia. The school earned 80,416.4 total points in the contest.
