Kimberlee Harris Ramsey, president of The Virginia Bar Association, has been named to the “Leaders in the Law” Class of 2025 by Virginia Lawyers Weekly.

Joining her in the class are John M. "Jack" Robb III, the chair of the VBA Law Practice Management Division, and Kyle H. Wingfield, chair of the Taxation Section. 

The “Leaders” program is Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s signature awards initiative, honoring each year a class of lawyers who are setting the standard for other lawyers. Leaders’ accomplishments include contributions to law practice, significant legal achievements, work on improving the justice system and important contributions to the legal community and/or the community at large.

Ramsey took office in January and will serve until the January 2026 Annual Meeting. She practices primarily domestic relations law with the Richmond firm of FloranceGordonBrown PC. She serves as president of the firm and chairs its family law practice group.

She has served on the Board of Governors since 2021; she previously chaired the VBA Domestic Relations Section, and she is also a member of the VBA Commission on the Needs of Children.

In addition to her VBA work, Ramsey is a member of the Family Law Coalition, a group of domestic relations lawyers that recommends improvements to the family law statutes in the Virginia Code. She is a member of the Richmond Bar Association. She is also a past member and past Community VP of the Junior League of Richmond.

Last year, she was voted “Best Attorney in Richmond” in the 2024 “The Best” annual community poll conducted by the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

Ramsey has made leadership a primary theme of her presidency. She was a driving force behind the first “VBA Leadership Academy,” an innovative program for young lawyers in the association presented at the VBA Annual Meeting in January. It will be held once again in January 2026.

Speaking up for the Rule of Law is another theme of her year at the top of the VBA ladder: In April, the VBA issued a strong statement in support of the Rule of Law, judicial independence and the independence of law firms. For Law Day on May 1, the VBA joined eight other statewide and local bars in the Commonwealth in making a joint statement with similar strong sentiments.

Two other VBA leaders honored

Robb is chair of the VBA’s Law Practice Management Division and a member of the VBA Board of Governors.

All members of the VBA are members of the LPMD. The division focuses on law practice management education and tools for improved delivery of legal services, among other pursuits.

Robb is the Chief Legal Officer and Senior Vice President at Old Dominion Electric Cooperative, based in Richmond.

Wingfield is chair of the VBA Taxation Section; he is in the first year of his third term in that position. He has focused on increasing membership of the section and upgrading the educational offerings of the group.

He is a partner in the Richmond office of Williams Mullen.

These three VBA “Leaders” and the other 26 members of the Class of 2025 will be honored at an Oct. 30 event at the John Marshall in downtown Richmond.
