The Virginia Board of Bar Examiners has announced that 140 applicants have been licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth following the February 2026 bar exam.

The pass rate was 77.44% for first-time test takers and 62.64% overall.

All individuals listed successfully passed the exam, achieved the required score on the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination and met all other requirements for admission. Their licenses became effective April 24.

Among them are nine members of The Virginia Bar Association, including eight law students and one First Five Years:

• Katherine Nichols
• Samantha Reid
• Brittany Robbins
• Russel Wade

The Supreme Court of Virginia will conduct an Admission & Orientation Ceremony on June 9.
