Leigh B. Middleditch Jr., who joined the VBA in 1957 and was involved in the Boyd-Graves Conference, died Oct. 3, 2021. He was 92.

Before retirement, he was a partner with McGuire, Woods, Battle, and Boothe in Charlottesville. He taught business law and Virginia procedure at the University of Virginia.

The July results from the Virginia Board of Bar Examiners are out and the commonwealth just gained 459 new lawyers. An additional 33 individuals passed the bar but have not yet been licensed.

Several VBA members were named Up & Coming Lawyers as a future generation of leaders in the law. The 2021 list was announced by Virginia Lawyers Media, publisher of Virginia Lawyers Weekly.
